General Terms and Conditions – Lankara Island Travels
At Lankara Island Travels, we believe in travel with care, respect, and meaning. These general terms and conditions have been drawn up to provide clarity regarding our working methods and to ensure that you can travel with peace of mind.
1. Over Lankara Island Travels
Lankara Island Travels is a Dutch sole proprietorship specializing in personal and tailor-made travel. We design and organize trips in collaboration with local partners, with respect for people, culture, and nature.
2. Conclusion of the agreement
A travel agreement is concluded as soon as Lankara Island Travels confirms the booking in writing by e-mail. The content of the booking confirmation is binding.
3. Payment
The payment terms (down payment and final payment) are clearly stated in the booking confirmation. Payments must be made within the specified time limits.
4. Changes and cancellation by the traveler
Cancellation or modification of a trip must be done in writing. Any costs depend on the time of cancellation and are clearly stated in the booking confirmation.
5. Changes by Lankara Island Travels
We make every effort to carry out the trip as agreed. Should a change be necessary, we will inform the traveler as soon as possible and work together to find a suitable solution.
6. Responsibility of the traveler
The traveler is personally responsible for: - valid travel documents (passport, visa) - taking out appropriate travel and cancellation insurance - complying with local laws and regulations
7. Liability
Lankara Island Travels is liable within the limits of applicable law. Our liability does not extend beyond what is permitted by law.
8. Insolvency protection – VZR Garant
To comply with the legally required guarantee, Lankara Island Travels uses the VZR Garant guarantee scheme (www.vzr-garant.nl).
Within the limits of the Guarantee Scheme, the VZR Garant guarantee applies. The Guarantee Scheme specifies to which (travel) offers the guarantee applies and what this guarantee entails. If services are not provided due to the financial insolvency of Lankara Island Travels,
